Intense brain fog rolling in today. Sorry.I stopped taking my Fosamax, my osteoporosis drug, for 6 weeks. Did this on …
OH yea, yes, yes yes. Marie was not in the final two. Helio won! Yes, yes yes! Now THAT"S fair. He earned it. He came the farthest, he deserved it, he's a winner. I am happy. Yippee! Again, I feel badly that Marie came so close and then had to leave, but so did everybody else in the competition. You can't win um all! GOOOOOOOO Helio! I don't think I'll watch Dancing with the stars next time. It takes too much out of me! lol. It was great this year.
Finished all my SSD paperwork yesterday and mailed it out. I am rolling. I also got a call from my pdoc (shrink) saying that she had received a request from my lawyers to send my medical records. She wanted to make sure I knew about it. I have an appointment with her tomorrow and she wants me to see what she will be sending to them. I can't believe how much she wants to help me. AND I can't believe this thing is moving forward to quickly. I am so thankfull for that.
Bobby is vaccuming downstairs, I hear the vacuum. I think the weather change is making him sick. He just got called to jury duty, he has to send in the " I can't do it because my wife is disabled and I am her only caretaker" thing. What would I do without him for two weeks? Hopefully that reason for out of jury duty is sufficient to keep them from making him go.
I am feeling a little stuffed up in the head today, it's 34 degrees outside, brrrrrrrrrr!
I am also on the warpath about what pills I am putting in my body. I have been on Fosamax for osteoporosis for nine years. Well, I got on the computer early this morning to look up the ingredients in that pill. Turns out it's a biphosponate. Side effects include, fatigue, muscle and joint pain, nausea, lack of ability to concentrate, etc. Now, I am not saying that this caused the CFIDS, but the side effects could be keeping me from recovery to a great extent. I have to figure out what to do. I didn't take it today. I'm calling my GYN, because he is the one who treats me for the osteoporosis. I'm going to run this by him. I need a Fosamax holiday to find out if I'm somehow toxic on biphosphonates. No studies have been done past the five year mark on this drug, and I've been on it four years longer than that. Does anybody ever research stuff before they let their patient's just keep taking it? UGH! That's my job today. Talk to him about this Fosamax thing and find out how long I can stay off before my bones start to break! We shall see. I have become so aware of toxins and things, I just want to be sure that something I take every day isn't adding to my misery. We have to do everything for ourselves with this illness.
Ok, off the soapbox. Hope you all are well. Those of you who watch DWTS, hope you are as happy as I am! Have a blessed day, one and all. Love you, Darla

Darla great news about DWTS. I know what you mean about the meds. I thought my body would collapse without the HRT yet, 6 weeks on, ok I have some problems but I am no worse than I was at the beginning of the CFS. If that makes sense. This is all about making balanced and informed decisions isn't it? Love and blessings to you.xxxx

And then there's the dental trouble with the osteo drugs... Not good.

Wow, I love your pdoc. So glad you have her onside. I use Actonel for my bones and have been concerned too, it's one of those catch 22 things isn't it. You can't get the exercise, or sometimes the diet, you need because of the CFS so need the meds to help bone density BUT the meds may be making the CFS worse. What's the answer? Don't know. had my assessment for the enablement team today and asked to be referred to a Dietician. I'm hoping, with her help, I can do something for both the fatigue and my bones by eating the right foods at the right time. I'll let you know what happens. Good luck with your Doc Darla, and stand on your soap box as much a you like. Love and hugs, Caroline xoxo Big hug for Bobby Bond as well for being such a help, he's a gem.

Good on you checking those drugs out..... I do the same and try to take as least as possible, or alternatively some 'natural' stuff. There is so much toxicity everywhere these days... we have to be our own doctors and detectives. Take care oh wise Darla, love jazzy

Darla, so glad your SSD is going so quickly, you'll feel better when it's over, I did. It's so weird the things we have to do about our meds, just to get by, I research everything before I take it to make sure it's not toxic...you just never know, and we are all different. Take care, sweetie
