Karla, I hope you are doing okay. I am new to this site and I was reading your post. I have Grade I vaginal cancer cells, and my doctor has not really said much, if the aldara cream did not work (will know my next pap), what my options are? Do you mind me asking if you had any symptoms of vaginal cancer before being diagnosed? I was to have 2 more treatments of the aldara, but I had a severe reaction to it, so I only had one. It is a cream used for warts, but they have found it to wipe out cancer cells too. Hope it was okay that I wrote. I will be sending good thoughts your way. EllaBlue

Diagnosed 3/10/06 with squamous carcinoma in the Bartholin gland. On 3/15/06 I had a radical hemi-vulvectomy. On 4/19/06 I had blood clots in my leg and went on coumadin for 6 mos. From 5/22/06 - 7/18/06 I had radiation and chemotherapy (Cisplatin). On 7/6/06 I was admitted to the hospital for four days with Neutropenia (low white blood cell count). Because of the inactivity and weakness, I now am going to physical therapy to regain range of motion and strength in my hips and legs.

      Treatments

      Radiotherapy Working / Worked

      Surgery Working / Worked
      Physical Therapy Working / Worked
My scar tissue in my leg joint and my inactivity from fatigue began to cause much difficulty with walking so I went to PT where they were manipulating and stretching and massaging. That was helping some, but when I started pool therapy, that has had a faster impact on my range of motion, my energy level, and my mental outlook.
