wednesday eve - cold, shivering
Z woke up with 104 and shivering like crazy. Ate some bkfst, then we dropped him in the bath and tylenol'd him up...marginally helpful. He's in heaven now because he gets to watch videos on a school day, but I think we may see another one today. This is crazy-high temperatures, and I'm surprised it hasn't broken yet.
Interestingly, we spend some time thinking about the seizures and if they'd have an impact on his brain / intelligence / etc....while this is FAR from scientific, as we lied in bed this morning, him naked and shivering while we tried to bring down his temperature, we were reading Flash Cards which have visual games for Kindergarten kids....(he's 3.5 years old)...and he nailed about 70% of them, while in this pathetic state. He IS a smart kid, and it's just interesting to see him displaying his smarts right in the middle of one of the events that we think might have an impact on some of his developmental delays.
Wish us luck. No seizures, no seizures...

Oh my goodness - good luck Doug. He sounds very bright - amazingly so. Here's hoping he feels better - and you too - Dad. Take care.
