It is absolutely amazing where life has taken me over the last 27 months.  From the extreme pain and hurt of my ex leaving me for another woman to growing, healing and finding love within myself and in others.

As most of you know I got engaged the first of the year to a wonderful man.  He lives two hours away from me so we put any plans on hold until this summer.  Well, summer is here.  We found a house that would work for us within the budget we were allowed since both of us have credit to clean up from our divorces.  The house we had a bid in on last week ended up flooding in the storms.  Discouraged that we were not going to find anything, we ended up logging onto the Internet to find a house that was just listed that works for us.  We put in an offer and got it!  The closing will be scheduled for the end of the month.  I will put in a notice at the rental townhome I live in and plan my move down there.

I have a ton of things to do including finding a job, enrolling myself in school down there as well as transferring schools for my kids.  I also have to find childcare for the rest of the summer as well as during the school year.  I am overwhelmed with all that I have to do but have been working on all of this for months.  Bryan and I decided since we both had big weddings we would do a nice backyard wedding to include the kids and go on a cruise or something this winter for a honeymoon.

I am very well aware of the challenges I have ahead of me.  Blending two families will not be easy.  He has three kids that will be with us every other week and my kids will be with us full-time except for the times they are with their dad.  We have discussed this many times and know we need to get guidelines set up for all kids so we can function more smoothly as a family unit.

I am excited, nervous, scared and every other emotion I can think of but know this is natural.  Moving is a big deal as well as starting a new "life".

Two years ago I never imagined I would be so happy again.

To all of my male friends out there "Happy Father's Day" as well as those moms out there that take on both roles.  I know all of you have put your children first in so many things and have given yourself completely to your children.  They are all lucky to have wonderful parents like you.

Wow, Kim--keep working on it --one thing at a time, and you will achieve it all. No doubt about that, considering how much you have done already. Congrats!
