Yesterday I called to check on my mother-in-law, she had some bad news for me. A close family friend is in the hospital, and has been for over 2 weeks. Dale has had the same heart problems Bill had, but Dale is younger and has diabetes. He's going into renal failure; his end is near. I want to call his wife, Betty, but I don't know if I am strong enough to be strong for her. 

It just seems like everything has been happening this last year and just when I think it is over....its not. I lost Alex in December (one of my two cats) to that melamine poisining, my uncle in March - he was only 14 years older than me and my last blood uncle, my father-in-law in June and now Dale. I feel so overwhelmed right now, I just want to sit down and cry. When I told me husband he just looked at me and asked me if I was sure. My husband has know Dale since he was 14 years old, Dale has always been there - loud, boisterous and full of life. Now I have to tell my kids that Uncle Dale will pass soon. Just doesn't seem real yet.
