MRI Update Mood

I got the results of my MRI yesterday. It was the best of the bad possiblities. It said my brain was normal (which makes me doubt everything else it said!), but that I have a Sphenoid sinus disease. When my DR told me that I asked what the hell that was. He proceeded to explain abou the little bitty sinus cavities behind the ones we normally think of and that is where my problem is. He said you never see this without the other sinus cavities being involved...so much for being normal. He's put me on a round of pretty powerful antibotics in hopes of knocking it out and improving my migraines. Keep your fingers crossed for me that this works. If it doesn't he wants me to go to a speicalist right away....exactly when I will have the time to do that is anybody's guess. So my number one positive for today is that there is hope to improve the migraines!!!!

I spent the night at Ragan's house last night. We were supposed to be doing wedding stuff, but ended up just talking and visiting. I'm so proud of her for all she's doing and handling it with such grace. She isn't stressed at all about the wedding which is good and bad. I wish she would get just a little stressed so she would do the last few things on her to do list. But getting to spend some time alone with my sweet baby girl is my number two positive.

I'm leaving work today early and I won't be back for a week and a half!!!! Yeah!!!!!!! Number three! Speaking of work, I had better get to it or I won't get to leave or I'll have to come back before I want to, so TTFN.

I am glad that there is hope of helping your migranes. I know they can just ruin your life popping up when ever they want to, and always managing to spoil your plans. I had then alot when I was younger. Thank God old age has some GOOD benifits along with all the crap. Anyway I pray it works well for you.Love,Peggy

Yay! I KNOW about the sphenoid sinus...it is associated with the sphenoid bone...which is a bat shaped skull bone. I think that anytime they can identify the problem...,they can THEN do something about it! I am sooo happy that you had that special time with Ragan...that warms my heart. I am proud of her FOR you. Well it sounds like there is hope to improve the migraines what a good thing. Any improvement will make your life a lot easier. Glad you and Ragan had a good visit. Enjoy your time off. Love and hugs Cathy

Hi honey. I suffered with migraines for over one year, a few years ago. I went through the rollercoaster of tests & diagnoses, but was bedridden due to 4-5 migraines a week. My problem was a neighbor - she had a black mold infestation below me (Nasty thing)and after the unit she lived in was gutted and refurbished - my migraines went away. I trust your doctor, but I would also seek a 2nd opinion, and most def. a 2nd opinion if they suggest surgery. Please let me know how you are.

I am so very proud of you for keeping up with your positives! I hope that the meds help your migraines. I have only had one, I think, in my life. It was awful. So.....your brain MRI was normal, huh? hehe Hummmm.......love ya, Barbara

You are too busy for doctors, headaches or specialists...good God, don't they know that there is a weddin in the works! lol
