I called Maia's mommy yesterday to see if perhaps she could bring Maia over for one of her promised visits today. I think I just needed a 'Maia smile and hug fix" again before going on vacation. SOOOOOOO.....low and behold they will be here in about an hour and I am so excited. I almost feel like it's a chance to really say goodbye instead of pretending I was going to see her again the next day when she left last time.

If I'm really lucky I'll get some hugs and a chance to talk to her about her new daycare and why she can't be here with me anymore. I need to steal myself for that talk though because I will surely cry. I want this visit to be a happy one only.

I really pray Maia will soon learn to accept her new situation and believe she is there because her mommy has to have a good place for her to be while she works. She is adjusting to the daycare schedule I'm told but still wants her mommy mornings when mommy is not working and isn't having those now. When she is a little older she may understand the reasoning but right now she is feeling pushed away and a little abandoned I guess.

Well, I need to be ready for my guests so I'm stopping here. More later about my day if all goes well.  WHoppie!! I am so happy and excited. Never knew one little child could make me so happy but she has always dons that for me. God bless her.
