man chris! we are going to have lots of cookies! my little niece Kayla said that today today baking friday! baking friday! calling all cookie monsters! hehe! cookie monsters! cookie monsters unite! Its baking friday! oh my! a cookie and pie baking adventure in the kitchen! there was a cookie monster sighting in the kitchen today!!! The cookie monster was caught chocolate chip handed! hehe! oh my!!! so much fun! keeping with the tradition today my little niece Kayla and i baked her favorite chocolate chip cookies and a pumpkin pie! this was so much fun! We love baking friday and always look forward to baking friday each week. We love to share baking friday with everyone. Around 1015am i began to get everything set up for baking friday! i washed the cookie pans and pie baking dish and there was lots of excitement knowing we were gonna have a baking friday adventure! Kayla and i were eating pringles chips and talking about baking. i mentioned to her and my family about how friends are baking goodies today and have baked goodies this week. i texted friends to let them know that it was almost time to bake! i wore the apron that my friend Arlene sent me. i used the oven mits that my ds mum bloss sent me that my ds sis Jennay listless sent me that my ds brother Taino and ds sis Cyn sent me that my friend Rita sent me that my friend Danielle blustargazr sent me that my sister Jenn gave me that my friend Julia jmk1973 sent me and i used the sunflower towel that my friend Gerri gjones sent me the kitchen towel that my friend Maria Love4You sent me the sunflower towel that my friend Linda butterfly888 sent me and i used the pot holders that my friends Maria and Julia sent me. You all are with us in spirit during baking friday. We were all set up the oven was on and oh my! cookie monsters unite! We baking cookies!!! It was time to bake! bake! bake! Kayla said lets bake! She loves chocolate chip cookies! me too! Kayla said lets bake cookies first! awww! i asked Kayla to pick out the best egg ever and she opened fridge and i was getting the butter she said you get the butter! ill get the egg! hehe! so cute! i poured some flour into the measuring cup and Kayla poured the flour into the bowl. She loves to help! She said i wonder how they make flour! Shes learning so much from all the baking friday adventures. We love to bake! She and i were putting the ingredients into the bowl. i like to soften the butter. i keep the butter in the wrap and i hold under the water for about 30 seconds to let the butter loosen up a bit and then i add it to the bowl. Kayla and i were adding all the ingredients and she cracked open the egg! great job Kayla! Shes a great egg cracker! Its one of her favorite things during baking friday! Kayla is writing a story! Shes writing the story about animal friends! She has a great imagination! She was stirring the cookies and she said i am stirring these cookies like a lion! hehe! so cute! We were having such a great time talking and making cookies. We were talking about future baking fridays too including big baking friday adventure we are planning to have on Halloween! Halloween is on a baking friday this year! Kayla and i both stirred the cookies and were talking about a cake we want to bake for halloween. Its going to be so much fun! After we stirred the cookie mix i then put on my oven mits and i brought the cookie pans out of the oven and Kayla was making sure i was wearing my oven mits. Shes so very caring! Thank you so very much Kayla! She said they should make something for the arms for when we reach into the oven! She is so very smart! i greased the cookie pans. i used butter and then sprinkled flour onto the pan so that the cookies dont stick and Kayla and i then made cookie balls and put the cookie balls onto the baking pans. i then put 2 batches of cookies into the oven. Kayla said man chris! we are going to have lots of cookies! hehe! so cute! cookie monsters! cookies are baking!!! We then began to prepare the pumpkin pie. oh my! we used pie crust that was already made and i sprayed the pie baking dish with buttery cooking spray and then put the pie crust on the dish and then we got the pumpkin pie ready. oh my! the can opening wasnt working well it was hard to open the cans. Kayla said come on! work! hehe! so cute! i got it to work and i opened the can of pumpkin and also can of condensed milk and we put both into the bowl with some sugar and oh my! we love to add cinnamon to the pumpkin pie and i put cinnamon on the pie crust and i then poured cinnamon into the pumpkin pie mix in the bowl and i said to Kayla what if that was chili powder? oh my! her eyes got big she looked at the bowl!!! The look on her face! oh my! it was classic baking friday moment! She said i hope thats cinnamon! awww! so cute! hehe! i said it is! it is! hehe! We were sharing smiles and laughs! She and i both cracked open an egg and put the eggs into the pumpkin pie mix and we both stirred the pumpkin pie mix. oh my! it smelled great! We love pumpkin pie! A sunflower friend joined in on the baking friday fun today! sunflower decorative that my ds mum bloss sent me we had the sunflower in the kitchen today and it was helping us bake! Kayla and i talked some more about the cake that we want to bake on halloween. Kayla said we can bake a ghost shaped cake with spiders on the cat! She has a great imagination! i poured the pumpkin pie mix into the pie crust and then put some aluminum foil over the piecrust so that the crust didnt burn and i then put the pie into the oven to bake! bake! bake! cookies were done baking and i brought the cookies out of the oven to cool down. oh my! cookie monster spotted in the kitchen! hehe! Kaylas a cookie monster! hehe! me too! i put some cookies on the plate and Kayla went right after the plate! hehe! She loves those cookies! The cookie monster got caught chocolate chip handed! hehe! We were having such a fun time! Lots of smiles laughs. friends and i were texting during baking friday too. Thank you everyone so very much for the great texts! We put some more batches of cookies into the oven to bake and the pumpkin pie was baking too. the kitchen smelled great!!! chocolate chip cookies and oh my! pumpkin pie! mmm mmm! Kayla has one of those cars you can drive around and we were talking and i said Kayla how about you drive us all to Dairy Queen well get some ice cream with sprinkles! She smiled! awww! She said theres only 2 seats! hehe! so cute! i said we can all squeeze you can drive us! Well stop at mcdonalds on the way home and get some happy meals! hehe! We were smiling laughing! sharing great baking friday moments. i asked Kayla what her favorite baking friday was she said the one last year when we baked chocolate chip cookies! awww! The cookies finished baking and i brought them out of the oven to cool down and also the pumpkin pie finished baking and i brought it out to cool down and took pictures of the baked goodies and took some pictures during baking friday to share with everyone. i thanked Kayla for helping bake goodies. my mom and my sister Lisa had a cookie too. It was so much fun baking chocolate chip cookies and a pumpkin pie! so many great memories made to always cherish and treasure! family and friends joined in on the baking friday fun this week! my friend Emma sissy831 baked chocolate chip cookies raspberry bars and a sweet potato pie! my friend Deb stardust baked a cake! awww!
