I tell you, the older I get, the more traveling wears me out. It was worth it, though. We got to spend two days with my husband's father and his lady friend. Both are terrific people, and very inspiring. For their age, they are doing so well and enjoy life more than many young people I know. It seems as we get older, we feel more free to "be ourselves" and worry less about impressing anyone. I also got to see some of my friends from high school and that was great! One of our friends daughter got married this past Saturday and we all met at the wedding. There's nothing like old friends. Keep in touch with your old friends, because it is certainly worth it.
I need to get back into exercising. I've slacked off for several days now, mostly due to the travel and being super busy with work. Hope everyone is well!

It sounds like you had a wonderful time when you were away. I feel the same way, traveling tires me out but its good to see the people we love that we haven't seen in a while. But I am always sooooo glad to get home too.
Being ourselves I think is a right of our age, not that we're old...it's just we've learned that we need to be comfortable with ourselves.

I've learned that going on vacation is pretty stressful, after being put in charge of planning our savannah trip. I was actually somewhat relieved when it turned out we weren't going, lol.
I'm glad you had a good time on your trip! Here's to many more! *lifts imaginary glass of wine*
