Just letting you know you are in my thoughts. I too went through a divorce after a 25 year marriage. Then my health went. I am trying to remain hopeful knowing God will take care of me. I hope you find a good team of Dr. for your grandaughter. I too am without a good Dr who can confirm my diagnosis of MELAS.

I'm sorry to hear about your daughter. Loving a child with mitochondrial disease is scary.

Hello, At first the dr did think it was MS.I had a spinal tap done and it was normal.MY Dr called me yesterday and said all the blood work was normal a so was the carnitine levels.So i stopped taking the tables,and will wait it out for the biposy results. Take care, wedad

Hello, I have been taking vitamin D for a few years.My neuro said that its not being absorted in my body,so don't know whats going on there,still waiting for more results. thanks wedad

Hello, sorry to hear about your daughter,my prayers go out to you and your family.I have not heard about magnesium loading.Why the Dr's have not DX her yet?Tomorrow will be one week since i started taking the carnitine tables,and i haven't noticed any changes.Take care wedad
