Evil Member Of Staff Mood
Wednesday, March 19, 2008 | A Call For Help story

This is not a call for help more asking advice on a togh situation I am in at the moment and would really appriciate youradvice on how to deal with it.

At this moment of time one   of the night staff where I live is off sick (she has been sick for manymonths now)and the person who is covering her until she comes back has not been the greatest member of staff.

Here we have rules to keep the place running smooothly rules like curfews at night which mean at that time we have to be upstairs or out, the computers can be used until a certain time, the buzzer to call peoples rooms not to be used after a certain time as it is very noisy and came wake up other people, no runnning up and down the corridors at night as people sleeping, noise levels have to be kept down due to people sleeping, the phone is only to be used to ring out mon to fri 9 -5, the office needs to be manned all the time yet staff can leave the post for ten minutes to get a drink and  nothing that breaks health and safety rules

Well the stand in member of staff regularly breaks the rules,  she allows people to stay up way after curfew, allows people to go on the internet any time at night (I know that at times I am on the internet at night that is because I have internet in my room like alot of other people here)allows people to have water fights, allows them to destroy christmas decorations, allows them to throw foam squares around though someone got injured on that  night, she allows people to  run around, allows them to use the phone anytime at night, does not stop people running up and down the corridors at night, she allows people to use the buzzer to call other people in the building late into the evening, regularly leaves the office unmanned for long periods of time and no one knows where she is,, when there is a problem outside she hides behind one of the plants and laughs, last night she made a comment that really hurt me as I live here and that is "The average iq of people living here is 2" so she is implying that I am dumb now.

I was just wondering as I have a meeting with the manager where I live tomorrow (Thursday) wether I should bring all this to  his attention, or should I just keep my mouth shut, I really dont want to do the latter as what she is doing is wrong, but really just need some advice on what I should do please help.

it is true no one wants to be a grass (a tell tale) but you have to tell i would the rules are there to protect you and other residents this person is takeing advantage of there position and the manager needs to be told as that person is somone who they should trust and they oveously can't be trusted. good luck.
