      Type: Clinical (Major) Depression

      Became depressed when I was about 17 yrs. old. Have accessed and processed a lot in psychotherapy and counseling.

      Treatments

      Positive Thinking Working / Worked
      Effexor Somewhat Helpful
      Don't know what I'd do w/o it. Have taken other Rx in the past which also helped.
      Meditation Working / Worked
      The days I meditate are ALWAYS better days.
      Physical Exercise Working / Worked
      It works. Am not doing it an need to very much and get off my BUTT!
      Psychotherapy Working / Worked
      Had it for years and I became more aware, grew a lot with it. Could possibly use more, although my liberal spiritual life helps more.

      Am now Employed! Now need to get a BETTER job, and for the heck of it: keep this job as a backup side $$ job and keep things in perspective. Am glad that this community was added to DS.

      Desire: Good, healthy lifestyle w/daily focus on 1) spiritual, 2) physical, 3) emotional wellness...by increasing meditation, start regular daily exercise, improving eating habits.

      Treatments

      Aerobics Working / Worked
      Starting a regular weekly schedule -- Tue. & Thurs. Week 1= 15 min per day. Week 2= 20 min per day. Week 3= w/30 min per day. Week 4= revamp/update Aero plan/schedule/length.
      Positive Thinking Working / Worked
      I am well, intelligent, work-out experienced, attractive, and caring. I am committed to improving my health and life in all ways, and with support and guidance from The Great Spirit, God, Goddess every moment. Thank you.
      Meditation Working / Worked
      Daily: AM when rising & PM at bedtime. The days that I meditate are better.
      Walking Working / Worked
      Starting a regular schedule... perhaps 2xs/wk (Fri & Sat) Week 1= 10 min to start. Week 2= 15 min. Week 3= 20 min. Week 4 w/25 min. Week 5= 30 min. Week 6= increase pace from stroll to 30 min walk. Week 7= update workout plan including stretching before and after stroll-walk.
