Journal Entry for June 25, 2008 Mood
Wednesday, June 25, 2008

Well, another trip of fish landed......great success, a boatload in 2 1/2 days.....unloaded 'em yesterday, caught my local AA meeting last nite.....today was for all my errands about town, tomorrow we work at the dock on our net repairs and maintenance.....then Friday looks like a DAY OFF!!!....then we leave again on Saturday morning (hope we load up again real quick). The weather isn't much of a factor this time of year, it's pretty much steady going for the next three months.....make hay while the sun shines, as they say.

Hey, it's only been five days, but I seem to have lost another pound off the old waistline (according to my scale).....this workin' fer a living ain't all as bad as it sometimes seems....it does have benefits in addition to the paycheque.

Had a good laugh today....my provincial government sent me (and everyone else) a cheque for a hundred bucks for my "Climate Action Dividend"....whatever the heck that means. I can't decide if I should buy 15.5 gals of gasoline or 2000 non recyclable plastic grocery bags or maybe just put it into an account and rake in the interest. Anyway, it seems like a great solution to the global warming crisis.......just give everyone a hundred dollars. (Can anyone explain to me what these people are thinking?) Madness!!! We're ruled by fools!!! The idiots are in control of the asylum!!!

Anyway, life is good, I'm dry, safe, warm and I'm never alone....and just for today I will not gamble......I wish you the same.

So glad you are back, once again, safe and sound. Sounds like a great bounty! I was thinking about you last night as I was watching Deadliest Catch, thinking it was probably getting close to being time for you to be home again.
You are so right about the idiots running the asylum. I think I would opt for the 15.5 gallons of gas, you never know how much it will go up while you are gone next time....get it while its cheap! LOL
Once again today, together, we didn't gamble, so we must be doing something right. Take care, and if you could work off about 5 pounds from my waistline, I'd be much appreciative..(:

    hugs

Oh, that's what that saying means..."make hay while the sun shines"...I thought it meant something else! LOL Head in the gutter! Blushing now, had to say that! And "We're ruled by fools!!!"...go with the "2000 non recyclable plastic grocery bags", Mike! You're so funny! I'm telling you, there are people out there who would PAY you to go out on the boat to lose some lbs! LOL It could be a reality show, a spin off of the "Deadliest Catch"!!! LOL It's early, I have a few things to accomplish today, not much, but one thing is for sure, just for today, I will not gamble :) Me, too, Mike! YSIR...Hugs and love, too...Robin
