    • Close Fibromyalgia

I was diagnosed with fibro the spring of 2007 after having back problems staining baseboards in an apartment building. I have a 14 yr old at home and a 22yr old married and living in another state. I was forced to quit my caretaking job July 31st 2007 and have been on short term disability since. I am hoping to find the right treatment plan to be able to have a fulfilling life.

      Treatments

      Lyrica Too Soon to Tell
Maybe a small change in amount of pain so far but nothing to jump up and down about. As with everything weight gain.
      Naproxen Somewhat Helpful
      Provigil Working / Worked
Just started to take this, I have sleep apnea and use a c-pap, hard time getting to sleep but sleeping through the night except for potty calls. Can't stay awake during the day and not remembering how I got somewhere when I drive.
      TENS Working / Worked
Relaxes the nerves along with heat for my chiropractor to really be able to work out my pressure points and gently manipulate my back.
      Elavil Working / Worked
Helps me sleep but has helped me gain more unwanted pouncs.
      Chiropractic Adjustment Somewhat Helpful
Mind manipulation after using heat and tens is helpful with my back pain. Middle back pain almost nil still working on the neck and lower back.
    • Close Myofascial Pain Syndrome

Hello! I am 45 years old and was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Mayofascial Pain Syndrome a year and a half ago. I am a mother of 2 wonderful children. My son is married and living 5 hours away by care and I have a 14 year old daughter at home. I also have 2 cats and a Goldendoodle puppy. My pets keep me company when I am alone and also drive me nuts. I am trying to adjust to living with pain and having to give up my life as I once knew it.
