I think I know what you mean - you're afraid it might crush you so that you may not be able to come back up and out of it? I relate to that completely. Do what you need to do for yourself - I just think it is a huge shame for her not to be responsible about your feelings. You deserve more than this Tom - I'm still hoping that it's an issue that has nothing to do with you.
