Hi there, I was a nurse of ten years- turned housewife. I love acting, performing stand up and spending time with people that enjoy life. Positive people are key to survival these days. There are so many issues in the world and our lives today we really need something to believe in. Having positive friends and family is crucial. My wish is for all of us to have some peace of mind.
Interests
My husband and I love camping, fishing, laughing togeather. Family and friends are important to us. We are an animal friendly home big time. One dog and two cats. They let us live here as long as we behave. We are very supportive of each other and I think we continue to learn more about each other all the time. We like to travel and see life. We also like to photograph it. He and I love taking pics everything big and small. Life is good most of the time. I believe that if we didn't have some bad days? How would we be able to really appreciate the good ones?

Close Panic Attacks
Hi there- I am a nurse turned housewife and comic. I also enjoy acting & voice acting work. I have had anxiety as far back as I can remember. But, my first full blown panic attack occurred on a bright sunny day while riding in a convertible with my best friend. I was 22. That was the start of what would dominate my life for a long time. Although my attacks have lessened, I still take medication to ease my anxiety & panic attacks. I am married and have very supportive husband.
Treatments
- Ativan Not Working
- I self medicated using this drug at .5 mg BID. At the height of my addiction? I was taking 100 mg plus a day. I also used alcohol. I would have blackouts. I was fortunate to live .....many people on that combo don't survive.
- BuSpar Not Working
- Made me feal far more anxious.
- Emotions Anonymous (EA) Too Soon to Tell
- Inderal Working / Worked
- Klonopin Not Working
- Seemed like taking nothing at all. Provided no relief.
- Patience Somewhat Helpful
- Paxil Working / Worked
- Very colorful dreams....but little relief followed by worsening symptoms.
- Positive Thinking Somewhat Helpful
- Psychotherapy Somewhat Helpful
- Cog therapy- I was in group and found it horrible. The people in the group were so striken with this that they made me more nervous.
- Rescue Remedy Considering
- Seroquel Working / Worked
- Made me feel manic. Stopped this drug right away.
- Serzone Working / Worked
- I take 300 mg every day.
- Xanax Working / Worked
- Currently take 1-3 mg of xanax daily with nefazadone 200 Q day. (SerZone)(divided doses). To date? The only TX that has worked. I am titrating off the Nefazadone. It is a bit rough with the withdrawl right now.
Close Obesity

- I love fried foods. Found that I was supplying half of the US oil demand everytime I went to the Bathroom.
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
- No sugar-low carbs. Enough protein and more fat This works....Triglycerides way down now. Now Cholesterol 190 I drink lots of water. And, I walk as much as possible.
Open Diabetes Type 2
New diabetic type 2. Most likely brought on by my obesity and considerable abdominal girth. Diagnosed in March 2008. Doing my best to adjust to healthier life choices. Not easy to pass Mc D's without wanting the big M and having the urge to give the finger at the same time.

- Byetta Working / Worked
- The jury is out. This stuff can make you feel sick. Like " I wanna die kinda sick ! Do yourself a favor and ask for compazine or another anti-emetic so you don't hurl from this drug and poop on the rug from the metformin ! Must watch carbs bigtime. Doc Atkins knew something. My numbers are running 150's not great? But they figure I had it for two years by A1C standards.
- Eating Healthier Foods Working / Worked
- My doc said...Ok..now remeber you just have to stop eating things that are white. Potatoes etc. I told him? Great so now I will have to burn everything I cook !
- Metformin Working / Worked
- Works great if you can watch tv from the bathroom. Well actually it is better to just take the phone with you. You could be there awhile. Luckily this drug doesn't cause drowsiness or your sheets would never be on the bed.
- Physical Exercise Working / Worked
- This is slow going. I have been sedentary for over five years. But it is like anything else worth having. It just isn't going to be easy !
- Lantus Working / Worked
Open Anxiety
Hi- I have generalized anxiety and panic attacks. I am currently coming off of nefazodone by choice because of changing liver function tests. Withdrawal is tough. Rebound anxiety worse.

- Dr. Andrew Weils Breathing exercises are great. I do em everyday.

- BuSpar Not Working
- I found that this drug made me more anxious than ever.
- Inderal Working / Worked
- I find this drug priceless ! It is great at preventing the rush of adrenaline that comes with a panic attack. I currently take 20mg BID
- Paxil Somewhat Helpful
- Took this years back. Loved the colorful dreams. Offered no relief from panic attacks.
- Positive Thinking Working / Worked
- Positive attitude/ thinking helps with everything in life.
- Xanax Working / Worked
- I take 1 mg TID with very positive results. This benzo offers fast relief from panic attack symptoms. Addiction is highly possible with this drug.
