Close Pheochromocytoma
I was diagnosed with Pheochromocytoma in September of 2002 after I gave birth to a premature baby due to hypertension caused by my pheos. Unfortunately my daughter did not survive but she was my angel. I would not have known about my tumors if it had not been for my pregnancy. At the time little was known about pheos. I had surgery in January 2003 to remove the 5 pheos I had within my abdominal aorta. (A rarer type of pheochromocytoma). Now no symptoms and I have a healthy one year old son.
Treatments
- Surgery Working / Worked
- Before surgery I suffered for years with extreme headaches, rapid heartbeats, heat intolerance. Since surgery I have no more symptoms.
Close Parenting Newborns & Infants (0-1)
I had my second baby in October 2007. He is very big and healthy and handsome. :)
Treatments
- Breast Feeding Working / Worked
- I breastfeed and provide formula when I'm not home or someone else is taking care of him. He seems to have had no nipple confusion and loves both bottle and breast.
Open Parenting Toddlers (1-3)
I have a wonderful little 2 year old. He's just now getting into those "terrible twos" but overall he's a great kid. He also has a new baby brother and has been excellent with him.
