This is a picture I took of a female Mallard duck sheltering her nine wee ducklings under her wings. It is my homage to the good mothers of the world this Mothers Day. I hope you can see the ducklings....

It's too bad DS don't offer higher resolution pics. You can see much at this size. Oh well. It's still a good picture. I just love ducks.

I love it, too. I wish the little heads were peaking out, but it makes sense that they would have snuggled up against mama's warmth this way. It was a pretty cool day, as I recall.
