About Me
I am a fairly shy person & engaged to an awesome guy who I love very much. We plan on getting married October 2008 & hopefully have babies soon after! That being said, I want to start to get past and learn how to deal with some of the issues that I think have been holding me back for so long now. I want be comfortable in my own skin ALL of the time. Some days I am, some days I am not.
Interests
**I am here only to meet new people for support and to give support to anyone in need.** I love to just hang out and spend my time with my fiance whenever we are not working. I also love spending time with my friends and family whenever possible. My mom is like my best friend and we try to spend at least one day a week together. I love animals, cooking, music, nature, and trying my best to make people happy.

Close Epilepsy & Seizures
I have apparently had epilepsy all my life as I have been experiencing episodes since childhood, but I was just finally diagnosed back in July of 2007.
Treatments
- Keppra Too Soon to Tell
- Just added this med 1/22/08. Currently at 500mg 2x day
- Lamictal Too Soon to Tell
- tried but doctor made me stop because chunks of hair falling out...
- Pets Somewhat Helpful
- Soothing
- Positive Thinking Somewhat Helpful
- Depends on the day!
- Tegretol Somewhat Helpful
- Too many breakthough seizures w/ the regular. XR is better
- Topamax Somewhat Helpful
- Now that I'm off this, I miss it. I didn't have nearly as much hair loss with this drug.
Close Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionI started dealing with depression years ago and just didn't realize that I had a real problem until about a year ago when I finally decided to talk to my doctor about trying medication. Wow! What a difference! Still have my days, though.

- worked great but stopped because of sexual side effects
- Cymbalta Working / Worked
- Works! Love this one. Currently at 40mg a day

- Worked for a time, but stopped because of sexual side effects

- worked great but not great when you have a seizure disorder! Plus this causes a lot of anxiety.

Diagnosed at age 24 with HB - 190/120 at the doctor's office... they thought the machine was broken! Doctors still don't know why. Wasn't overweight and never ate a diet high in fat or salt etc. Took a long time to finally get my BP under control.

- Atenolol Not Working
- Only worked in conjunction with other meds. Plus I lost my hair!
- HCT Working / Worked
- Works great
- Lisinopril Working / Worked
- caused chronic cough
- Norvasc Somewhat Helpful
- Only worked in conjunction with other meds.
- Valsartan Working / Worked
- Good stuff. Finally a med that controls without any side effects. No longer need it...for now.
Open Family Issues
We all have family issues but right now, my main concern is the family I'm about to marry into - mainly my mother-in-law-to-be. She can be the sweetest person at times and I think her intentions are good, but my intuition nags me about her.
