Summertime! Mood
Tuesday, June 17, 2008 | A General Update story

We were in Myrtle Beach last week.  A nice relaxing time with my parents.  They got the 2 bedroom ocean front condo for a rediculously cheap price at a silent auction.  Brian had a great time playing in the water.  He was so cute running down to the edge and then away from the wave giggling the whole time.  I swear if they could bottle kid laughter they would have the best anti-depressent in the world.  Brian has such a good laugh.  If you doubt me at all, I'll send you to my multiply page where there is a video of him when he was an infant laughing so hard he fell over!

In other news Brian starts preschool tomorrow!Surprised On a whim I applied for a summer program at a church and he got in!  It's 7 weeks twice a week.  They'll be doing Noah's ark which will be great if they focus on the animals. Jon and I are so non-religous though...

I'm looking forward to having 2 mornings a week to catch up on everything though.  I really think he is ready to start playing with other kids more.  I'm also hoping that he will take good naps afterwards too.

Did I mention we got rid of the pacifiers?  We were at the dentist and they said it needed to be gone soon.  Jon told him if he slept all night without his pacifier we'd get him anything he wanted.  Brian said "tool?"  Jon said sure.  Brian said "shovel?"  Jon said sure.  So the next day we went to home depot and got this 30 in shovel. It's a real tool!  Brian was so cute walking through home depot.  He walked straight from the front door to the shovels (after pointing out the lawn mowers) and grabbed the one he wanted and marched up to the front to pay for it.  We took the shovel to the beach and it was great for digging big holes.  Brian knocked down anything more complicated than a moat around a pile of sand! Any way the pacifier thing was surprisingly easy.  Just like moving to the big bed and weaning.  We seem to be timing these things well.  Now potty training........

Well, Bed time! TTFN!
