So I bought a lovely shirt. My legs will remain under wraps. It doesn't make me look like a skeleton, which is nice!! It was so weird yesterday with no boys in the house. I went out for three long walks, ate chocolate, made a couple of bags and some bunting, did some back-strengthening exercises without them all guffawing at me and watched all the Judge Judy repeats. Love that woman. I got a voice text at 10:00. "We are on the train. Choo choo. From Jonny."

They phoned at 5 pm from London Paddington with various tales of borderline bad behaviour. In the Science Museum there's a HUGE digital screen, and you can type messages into it. Perfect. Dan typed "Jonny is gay." He was a bit upset that half of London now questions his masculinity.Still, he's 7, he'll forget. Mike should have known though..........

Dan had to bite his tongue on the tube as he stood next to a massive rasta with dreads down to his waist and a huge smelly hat. He held in his tics so much his neck felt sore afterwards. "God Mum, imagine the scene if I'd shouted STINKING RASTA! at him." I'd rather not.

Inevitably, I messed up by the end of the day, ate wheat, drank too much wine, purged and am now suffering the consequences: my fingers are so dam swollen I had to take my wedding ring off with soapy water. It's worse because it's self-inflicted and I never learn. I knew I would hate myself, feel guilty, get depressed, but I still did it. Stupid cow.
