About Me
I have an art/english degree. I write short stories and also draw and sculpt. I love to cook and do creative things. Since being diagnosed with RA I have learned to believe in the power of positive thinking and enjoy every pain free moment as I know it may be my last! I have been married to the same wonderful guy for 31 years, he truly is my best friend. I am also blessed with 2 wonderful boys. I am fortunate to have wonderful daughter in laws as well and think of them as daughters not "in laws". Lastly there is Sammy the mutant apricot poodle who can't do stairs...don't ask!!!!!
Interests
I love to shop, travel, write and draw. I enjoy reading and spending quality time with friends and family.I try to excercise regularly to keep my joints well oiled! Excercise is my "me" theraphy as it makes me feel good about myself! I recently founded an excercise group here on DS. It is called "Excercise Through RA New Group" It is comprised of people that have chronic pain. We do what we can each day and log it on the site. This helps to keep everyone motivated!

Close Rheumatoid Arthritis
Diagnosised with RA 11 years ago.I went into a remission for almost 2 years experiencing minimal problems. Several months ago I went into a major flare. It took 6 weeks to calm down on 60mg of prednisone daily.I attribute my flare to going off antibotic theraphy. My flare began shortly after stopping antibotics. Although back on antibotics I still experience small flares lasting a few days to a week. I would enjoy exchanging dialogue with others who have RA.
