Sunday, July 20, 2008 | A General Update story

Well Everyone,

My time in Australia has nearly come to an end. We had the closing Papal Mass with Pope Benedict on the Racecourse in Sydney today 20th July 2008. It was absolutly fantastic. Its now sad that it has come to an End. The Pope Anounced today that the next world Youth Day will be in Madrid, Spain in 2011. I hope I will be around for that. It will be less of a journey for me than Australia. I have loads of photos to get developed when I get home as I have used 4 rolls of film. I was unable to do the vigil last night as I developed a chest infection while I was here on from our Trip on the Great barrier Reef. I went to the Doctor in Bondi on Friday and she put me on Antibiotics. So I think I may be over the worst of it thank God. It has been an amazing trip. I look forward to posting a longer entry about my entire trip by web cam when I get home.

Anyway bye for now. Its time for the bed. All my packing is nearly done and I am now looking forward to going home to my bed and my family however not looking forward to a 24 hour journey. :-(

I thought about you when I saw the Papal Mass story......glad you really enjoyed it. I'm sorry to hear that you got sick, but it must have been something to see the Great Barrier Reef. Cool stuff......waiting to see the pictures!
