Hi to all of you lovely friends!!! How I have missed you all. Feeling really disconnected. So tonight before I try to catch up on everyone's journals, I thought I had better let you all know what is going on! Hubby is still in Florida, he won't be coming until the middle of June and he is still smoke free (Thank GOD) We talk a couple of times a day. But I look forward to my alone time ,helps me stay in touch with me and whats going on in my inner world!!!! Plus if I want to put a frozen dinner in the oven I do, and don't feel guilty for not cooking dinner!!! He would never say anything but it's me (old school!!) Haven't seen the kids yet they were all out of town this weekend and of course I was on my retreat... I had a wonderful retreat!! The retreat director was a Irish Jesuit Priest who was very humorous, and had such a wonderful way of talking about GOD. I felt so loved and cared for and deepened my relationship with the GOD of "my" understanding!!!! It was medicine for my soul. This was my 25th retreat there, and I got a medallion.... And my first time smoke- free. It was so freeing not to have to worry about trying to get outside in the middle of the night to smoke!!!! And to be totally honest there was many times I would open up the window and and hang out blowing the smoke out!!!!!! BREAKING THE RULES at the retreat house of all places!!! Anyway don't have that guilt and shame anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Getting late and if I am going to catch up on your journals I better say NITE, NITE. My love to you all

I've not been around as well. I know that you enjoyed your retreat and it's SUPER that it was smoke free for you. I'm glad you're back - I missed everyone over the weekend.

Your retreat sounds wonderful. Wow 25times. I haven't been in so many years. I wish I could have joined you. I was raised as a Irish Catholic and went all through Catholic school. I know you have to miss your husband but I know what you mean. It's nice to have some alone time. I look forward to it now and then. It's really nice that you didn't have to go out in the cold or blow the smoke out the window. You are doing great and really an inspiration to me. Have a great evening and get some rest.

sandy that sounds wonderful. just to be able to go and feel closer to god is wonderful. I went to a 2 day one not long ago but am guilty of going outside and smoking on break. grrrr thats me. oh well maybe I can one day when I feel ready. glad everything is going well. I love bobby being gone for the same reason. I don't want to cook and will go in and get a healthy choice dinner for the same reason. hugsssss gail
