UP/DOWN, UP/DOWN...... Mood

Sun. Eve: I am reallllllly getting tired of this....I just have that "empty gut" feeling all the time! I guess with Mellisa's passing, Scott's angel date, and now the 4th of July, I am just having a hard time! Scott loved the 4th! It was always a big deal in our home.

And tonight we cooked with charcoal...we usually use the gas grill. Anyway, it reminded me of camping which also reminded me of Scott. Plus, I have been looking up campgrounds for our vacation. We were, as some may recall, going on a big journey to Colorada, AZ, NM, UT, etc. Now, we are going to the other side of the state, or so, in our 5th wheel. At least that is the plan today. My friend came in from KC but only stayed one night. I was a little disappointed but on the other hand, I was ok with it. I am just so fickle these days! Melissa's Mom brought me 2 kittens yesterday. One was Melissa's, a grey/white. The other is black/white. We got rid of one of our white one's and are trying to get rid of the other. Those white cats are CRAZY!!!! Really. Hopefully these will be much better. My autistic "picnic student" apparently has been asking his mom everyday about a picnic. She said she is sure he is relating it to me. So, I will find a day this week and take him again. I want to take him fishing, too. Now that will be a HOOT! I know so many of my DS friends are having a really hard time right now. I am trying very hard to pull myself back up so that I can be there. Thanks to all of you for being so loving and patient. Peaceful wishes to all.

I sure understand that fickle feeling. A friend of mine offered to come down from the city and stay this week so I didn't have to be alone, first I said no, then yes and finally I decided I needed some time alone.
The 4th July is not a big deal here, but I feel for all of you from the USA. These 'significant' dates must cause a lot of pain. I haven't had any of those yet, it's all so new. Hang in there for you, never you mind about the rest of us! Big hugs, Charlotte.

We always had a great time on the 4th when the boys were here. It's a tough time for sure. Travis wants to do something, and I'm actually off this year, so I will try. The 2nd will be the three year anniversary for my dad also, so kind of a double wammy. Our "stray" cat had 6 kittens the last time I was home. I got to help birth them, and miss a birthday party by doing so. They are cute little buggers though. I have no clue what we are going to do with them. I have 8 weeks to figure it out though. Not a white one in the bunch! Yea! Have fun on your fishing adventure. Love ya, Barbara

Ginger, you really nailed how I feel also, most of the time--with the ups and downs. I sure hope the "new" kitties will be a comfort and blessing for you. I like the heading you put on this entry, "Up down, up down"... I can picture us as bouncing balls and feel for those in our lives who try to follow our fickleness! Just this past weekend I was unusually "Up" and my husband commented asking when "psycho lady" was going to come out. Pissed me off, but guess I can understand. I know, this is off the subject but ...... that's how the brain works these days :-) Have fun with your picnic boy this week. Sounds like fun. XOXOXO Adrianne
