Memorial Day Wishes
HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY TO EVERYONE AND GOD BLESSLOVE, JEAN
Hey all!
Well the time for the transplant games is getting closer and closer and I am getting excited as I can be. We had our last fundraiser last Saturday, it went well. We have a lady at church (85) who lost her husband last week. She is in the first stages of dementia and has become so forgetful that she cannot be alone. I have been trying to help with her by staying nights. The Lady from Church who has Power of Attorney is in the process of making her an apartment in the basement of her home. It is so sad, her income has decreased by 1/2 so there is no way to keep her in her home. We always think we have problems until you look at someone else. She has to break up her home, sell it, move to someone's basement, be without her husband of 44 years (she also lost a first husband after 20 some years of marriage), her only daughter dies in her 40's and everyone in her family is gone. All of us at church love her very much but it's hard for people to leave their homes and sit with her. She cannot be alone because we are afraid she would try to cook and burn the house down. It's just a really sad suitation. her name is Jessie so everyone please keep her in your prayers, I just ask God everyday to give her the strength to get thru this. Also strength for Carla and the rest of us as well..... Her husband was a cousin of my father ans she was my grandmother's best friend so I have known her since I was a child. I know it will work out, just have to give it up to God... I can't wait for the Games and I just hope I don't embaress myself! Ha Take care everyone and Gob Bless.....Love Paula
