Well, I had my surgery on Aug 16th. My gastric bypass, that is...let me tell you, it was no fun. My Dr. messed up and had to do the same surgery on me twice, all in one day's time. Since I was sedated for so long, my body reacted. My blood pessure was deadly and my oxygen was to low. After they finally got that situated and into my room, another thing happened. I was vomiting blood for a good 6-8 hrs at least. They had an NG tube in and it was gagging me. The surgeon finally came in the room in the late morning and removed it. He sent me for an upper GI that afternoon to check for leaks. Thank God there was none. He never returned to check on me, I have not seen him since that day. He did explain to Jake and my grandmother what he did wrong, but explained it to me when I was drugged up on morphene. So, I go back to him on Sept 4th and he is going to have to explain it better in medical form what he did. So, now I feel sick. I am supposed to be drinking these protein shakes and lots of water, I cant get them down without wantin to vomit. I know I have to, but I cant. So, I really cant say I recommend anybody to have the surgery, if I did, I would be lying. Maybe when I feel better and my weight starts coming off, I will have a change of heart, I will have to wait and see.....
