What a great time!! Mood

Good afternoon family.

What a day I had yesterday! It was such a blast! We all had a great time at the amusement park. You couldn’t have asked for a better day. The park wasn’t busy so the lines were short and quick; it was hot with a cool breeze, sunny with a good bit of overcast. I woke up to serve thunderstorms and lightening. We decide to take the chance and now and I’m so glad we did. I’m also so glad I didn’t go out the night before. I wouldn’t have enjoyed the day if I had. My guy gave me directions to the park since that is where he was raised. We got right in and right out. What a change from the last time I was there, I got lost coming home and ended up in a very bad section of town at 11:00 at night. The only problem we had was we got caught in traffic back up for about an hour. Anyway we got there and did one ride with the boys, and then they were off!!! We were provided a lunch. It was rather tasty. We had hot dogs, hamburgers, b-b-q chicken, baked beans, macaroni salad, and all the fixings plus all the drinks we wanted. It was such help on the budget. I think everyone knows the cost of drinks at a park they are way too expensive. After we ate we were off to the park again. We set up meeting times and places with the boys and then sent them on their way. They had a blast, but what 16 years old wouldn’t love to be on the loose in an amusement park. We stayed till 10:00, which about closing time anyway. I got home around 12:45AM. I was in bed by 1:00AM and slept till 9:00 this morning!! It’s the first time I have had 8 or 9 hours of sleep in months and months. Yesterday was all about me and my friends, no bills, no worries, just having a good time and WE DID!! I took $66.00 with me and came home with $50.00. I was impressed with myself.

I slept in till 9:00 today, got up and took my guy to lunch. My heart is just breaking for him. He spent $266.00 to get his car fixed and it’s still overheating. He is just so upset and bummed out. I can’t stand to see him in such a mood. He has no money or possible way to get the money for any repairs. I’m going to do as much as I can with giving him rides back and forth to work, but there are going to be times where I can’t. I wished I could help him more financially, but there is just no way I can. I truly want to sit and cry. Well, anyway after lunch I went and finished cleaning the Church then came home and took a two and a half hour nap. He called from work to ask me a question it woke me up. I’m glad he did because I turned off the alarm and feel back asleep. I needed to get up and get awake for work.

I want to thank everyone for all the words of praise for fighting the urge to go out the other night. I’m so glad I didn’t it would have probably spoiled everything if I had.

Well, I better do the dishes and get ready for work.

I'm go glad you have such a wonderful time. Sometimes we need just to go out and do something and forget alll the worries. I'm glad you were abled to do that. A couple of years ago, I have a car too that kept overheating. I had it in the same sho 3 times and spent hundreds and they never did actually fix the problem. I'm not trying to tell you a bad story , but trying to sympathize with Mark. I know how frustrating it is when they can't seem to fix the problem. I hope and pray you guys can work out the car situation soon. Sorry. I'm proud of you for staying in and fitting the urge. Keep up the great work!!!

Patty what a wonderful day huh? I'm so happy you had some time just to have fun with your friend, cause darn it you sure do deserve it! I can't believe you actually got out of there only spending $16.00! That is wonderful, you must be proud.

Glad to see you are feeling better. I love amusement parks. Not really for me but just seeing the kids having so much fun is priceless.

Patty, your day sounds wonderful. I love the excitment of an amusement park, unfortunately I can't do rides, equilibrium gets way off, but I still like seeing everyone having fun. The nap sounds pretty good too, I am getting my share of them lately. I am so proud of you taking in ODAAT and dealing with the issues the best you can, that's all you can do. WTG on not going out the other night, you wouldn't have enjoyed the next day or had the memmories that you do.

Patty you are reaping the rewards of a gamble free life - one free from worries and concerns over money and gambling. You were able to treat yourself and you so deserve it. Now you have $50 spare to do something else with - keep it for you - another special day that you can enjoy. I love amusement parks. I am like a little kid. There is a place here called Luna Park - it's really famous in Sydney - we love to go as a family and just walk around with all the lights, it's so buzzy.
I am so proud of you and all you have achieved. WTG! GO PATTY!GO!

I love amusement parks...That is one thing I am looking forward to doing with the g-kids, I also love rollercoasters! It just brings back fond memories of when I would go as a teen, makes me itch to build those memories for my grandkids!
You did so good on fighting the urges the other night, and look how much you enjoyed your day at the amusement park.....had the scenario been reversed, you would have been miserable at the park, and thats not what its all about.....they are about fun and enjoyment, laughter, sunshine, and as always, the dreaded nighttime drive home! LOL
I am so glad you got some sleep, its does a body good!

Your day sounds wonderful, I am so glad you could enjoy with a clear head. WTG!
I used to do the amusement park all the time when I lived in Atlanta. I can't anymore 'cause of bone spursin my neck, I pay dearly if I get jolted about, not fun the next day. It a bitch getting old. LOL
But you sound great and I am glad you had money left over that is very good budgeting, those places can be quiet expensive.
