Good evening all. I hope this finds everyone doing well. I checked in on a few friends, I’ll finish getting caught up tomorrow. I had a pretty good day. I got most of the stuff on my “list” done the past couple of days. I didn’t do as much today. Today I met my Goddaughter for lunch. We had such a lovely time. She is such a bright girl with a quick temper and a pretty smart-ass attitude. There is not doubt that for an 18 year no one is going to pull much wool over her eyes. I found out today that she has gotten accepted to a small local college, I guess she got accepted it the one here in my hometown also she just doesn’t want to live here. She is planning on studying Psychology. I told her she had the perfect messed up family to study on. He uncle actually told her that she should forget about going to college that she’d flunk out. I told her “never let any tell her, SHE COULDN”T DO SOMETHING”. It was good to catch up with her.
I finally got one of my “weed” beds cleaned out. It had some kind of trees growing in it. I tried transplanting them on the bank… OMG LOL!! The last I looked the biggest one is falling over, and I have it staked. I’m no landscaper…
Like everyone else, it has been hot here the past couple of days, so I didn’t get much done out side, oh well, it’ll be there next week. It acts like it’s going to rain tonight again. We had rain almost everyday for two weeks. At least it may cool off again.
Well, I have a couple of loose ends to tie up before bed so I better go. I still didn’t get much sleep last night. This not sleeping well has got to give, before I do.

Sounds like you had a great day Patty! I can't believe anyone would say something like your Goddaughter's uncle did to her. That is just despicable! She sounds like she won't let anything get in her way though, and that's good. Sorry to hear you are not sleeping well. Hope that gets better soon.

If your Goddaughter is as bright as she sounds, one day she will get to hold that diploma in her uncles face and say, "Now what, smart ass?" and if she is as gutsy as you say she is, she probably wouldn't miss that opportunity for the world....I'd love to be a fly on that wall....LOL
Hope you get some sleep, I'm finally getting a full restful nights sleep, and my demeanor is improving....

Hi Patty - first off I have to say "What a good Godmother you are!"...I've never had one. Well, no one in my family does, I don't think? But I love the idea of Godparents, more people to love. 18 is so very young. My daughter, Amanda, turns 20 on the 19th of this month, she still seems like a little girl, to me. But she's married and in college...Wow! And I agree with you when you told your goddaughter “never let anyone tell her, SHE COULDN”T DO SOMETHING”, I agree with you 100%. You are a good godmother - it sounds like your god daughter needs support and you are there for her. - this is wonderful.
Patty you have such green fingers. I don't seem to keep anything alive unless it's in a vase and then it's only temporary - I have these grand ideas but - oh dear brown thumbs.
