Civilian service award Mood
Sunday, July 6, 2008 | A General Update story

Getting ready for night shift. Got three nights of it coming up. Just want to take a few and brag on myself. Received my Achievement Medal For Civilian Service. It's from the Deptartment of the Army and says the following:

For his years of dedication to the United States Army, both Uniformed and Civilian Service, where he served for more than 34 years. Mr Johnson spent the first four years of service as an Electrical Power Production Specialist in the United States Air Force. His remainder of Federal service was completed as a Power Plant Electrician for the Nashville District working at Old Hickory, Center Hill and Wolf Creek dams. Mr. Johnson's effort greatly contributed to the overall availability of the generators at these projects. His ability to perform electrical work and maintain equipment will be greatly missed. This high level of performance reflects credit upon Mr. Johnson, the Nashville District, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.  Signed Bernard R. Lindstrom, LTC/ U.S. Army

It was a long strange trip, but I made it through. Now, just get a hold of this diabetes and all is well. Pray the 4th of July weekend went well for all. My oldest, Monica turned 30 on the fourth. I'm just glad I was around to see it. Now I need grandchildren. Got to go and prepare for my night shift. I'll be working from 6PM-6AM/CST. Y'all sleep well! I'll have my fingers plugging the dam. :-) Take care and God bless. If you're up late tonight type to me. I could use the company. James
