I had my hysterectomy before I was diagnosed with MS. I had terrible back pain and numbness down my legs. they were sure it was my fibroids pressing on the spine? So, at this point I was desperate so I agreed to a hysterectomy. I had a total (everything) and after that my MS reared its ugly head like gangbusters. I guess the upside was that they finally sent me to a neurologist who did an MRI and voila a diagnosis was finally made. So, I am thinking any type of trauma to your body would exacerbate the MS. If you need it have it, but expect an exacerbation. At least there is Solu-Medrol out there. Perhaps they could hang that at the same time as your saline or dextrose thereby avoiding the worst! Good luck.

Donna, The way I have dealt with my MS, is the fact the for a long time the Doctor's thought I had Cancer. So I feel that I am dealing with the lesser of many evils. I know that some day I will lose the vision in my left eye and will need a wheelchair, but I am cramming in all that I can right now. I do take an antidepressant, because it has not been an easy path. I pass out, I fall, I see double, I am exhausted, but right now I am going to lead as full a life as possible. Bea
