Another Saturday Mood
Saturday, April 26, 2008 | A Positive story

Finally, I think, just maybe, I'm finally breaking through. The doc switched me two weeks ago because 4 weeks on Paxil was not doing much. I'm now on Prozac and starting to feel a bit back to normal. Feeling more energetic and interested in things. I actually pruned, cleaned and freshened all my indoor plants today. Took a while to do because they were a mess with dog hair, dust and gunk all over. Last weekend I did the same to my backyard planters. So that tells me there's hope. Hubby and bff tell me I'm more talkative and cheerful. That's a good thing. Now just need to feel that cheerfulness and motivation within myself. I think I'm on my way.

My father in law is scheduled for surgery in a couple of weeks. He has pretty bad cancer spots on his scalp and ears. They are getting worse. His surgery was cancelled about a month ago because his platelets were too high. Now we've reduced his platelet med and his iron will go low. It's such a balancing act. But these cancer spots need to be removed. I sure hope everything goes ok.

My husband has a problem with his prostate and his doctor referred him to a specialist. He goes on May 9. He is a nervous wreck. He thinks it's a death sentence. I'm going to take the day off to go with him for emotional support.

Steph is holding her own. The other day she had the biggest poop I've ever seen in my life. Thank God it was in the toilet. I would say there were 4 logs about 5 inches long by 3 inches. It was amazing. Her diaper has been clean since then, so hopefully the big stuff has worked itself out. But now she just needs to get back to a normal cycle. Robert broke up with her, but her old friend Patrick from high school has been calling her. He has CP and is a nice kid. We're still working on her Dynavox. Once we have time to program it she can start using it. But who's got the time!?

My oldest daughter Michelle is graduating from college on May 16! I'm so excited! Bill, Steph and I will be going down to Tucson for the ceremony and as long as my Dad is feeling ok that day, we'll pick him up to go with us. He has his good and bad days. FIL's brother and his wife are going to come stay with FIL that day while we go down to Tucson.
