OMG

Ok well, My hubby and I claimed bankrupcy on 6/26/08. The lawyer then states that no one can touch us until all has been determined, ok sounds great. Well OMG, one of the debtors put a freeze on my account so I can not deposit or withdraw, now bills are coming in and I have NO money.. I call my lawyer, he says he will get right on it, well 2 days went by, nothing yet, I call him he says he will send out a nasty letter to the debtor that froze the acct. OK sounds good. 24 hrs later, the acct is unfrozen, now I have been trying to close this acct for 2 weeks now, but could not of course since a freeze was put on the acct at the same time... Now I have to wait because surcharges were added to my acct and now the bank wants to go after the debtor collector who put the freeze on to begin with.

In the meantime, my lawyer said I could sue these people since they knew about the bankrupcy and got 2 letters saying so, and froze the acct anyway. But that would cost more then I would get... OH WELL SOL, I guess.... Now I have to wait 2 more weeks for the bank to go after these people....

When will it ever end.... I was told this bankrupcy was going to be a breeze and then can start out fresh, yeah right !!!

maybe you should sue. you might not have to pay your lawyer unless you win, and then money for lawyer comes from settlement. You are right, nothing ever seems to be easy. hang in there & do something restful for yourself & husband. Walk around the park, grill hamburgers, just some sort of small togetherness. I am sorry you are going through this.
