About Me
House Wife, Recently had radioactive iodine treatment for Graves Disease. I love Shotokan Karate, I have been a Martial artist/ Instructor for 13 years now. I have been out of commission for five months August of 2007 I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism. Sheesh another step back, I am now on synthroid, first Hyper Now HYPO.. Thanks for all the Hugs!! ~God Speed~
Interests
Martial Arts, I started my Martial Arts Training in 1994, I am now beginning my Weapons Training starting September 22nd of this Year 2007, I am excited and Cant wait. I also love Softball, Bowling, and Watching my Kids Grow..Lol

I was so sorry to read about your lisinopril cough. How it happens to some right away, and not others at all, is truly a mystery. I do hope you have better luck on your next med. There are plenty of them out there and one is sure to work for you.

Close Graves' Disease
I was diagnosed with Graves Disease Recently May 2007 I recently had Radioactive Iodine treatment for it. I would like to speak with others who are in the same predicament.
Treatments
- Radioactive Iodine Working / Worked
- My Goiter has Shrunk tremendously and I am hoping to have some normalcy back in my life.
- Atenolol Working / Worked
- It keeps my Heart Rate Stable. It makes me Dizzy but its Tolerable.
- HCT Working / Worked
- My BP is Normal. This is a Great Medication so far with zero Adverse reactions.
Close Hyperthyroidism
I was first diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism and then Graves Disease
Treatments
- Atenolol Somewhat Helpful
- I am no longer on Atenolol, Now that I am Hypothyroid. I am on Synthroid for my HYPOTHYROIDISM
- Radioactive Iodine Working / Worked
- had it on June 18th, 2007, have to have a blood test on July 18th, to check my levels. My goiter has shrunk tremendously, but I still feel so tired and not energetic.

THIS IS THE MESSAGE I RECEIVED FROM MY ENDO TODAY AUGUST 21, 2007 Dear Anisa, Your TSH = 85.9 (normal 0.2 - 5.5) which tells me you need thyroid hormone. - Synthroid Working / Worked
- I was started on synthroid august 21st 2007 0.1 which is 100mg and this month of october I had a blood test only to show my TSH was 0.1 meaning the synthroid dose was too high so they lowered it to .75mg, I just started it on October 11th, 2007 I will have another blood test on November 19th, 2007 to see if this dose is ok for me. I havent had any side effects of synthroid because Remember Synthroid is not a medication, just a replacement of hormones your body no longer makes enough of.

- The Point system is great I have lost 8 pounds within the week of starting Weight Watchers, Thats pretty good and just wait til I start my Weapons Training, I will lose even More, Weight Watchers is the Best, you have to want to do it though and Stick to the Point Regimen
