good morning! that's a bit of coinsidence about where i live - - i'm a "transplant" lived most of my life in east haven, connecticut - - moved down south about 3 years ago. i really like it here. my grandson starts his first year at the high school this semester.hoping your pain level is low today - i guess i will go and see who's new to the site, and see if they need support. hugs and prayers to you, weezie

Close Pancreatitis
Diagnosed in 9/06 with chronic pancreatitis (caused by Sphincter of Oddi dysfunction). My biliary system has been destroyed. I have had 7 ERCP's, 2 stent placements and 4 sphincterotomies. In chronic daily pain. Been hospitalized 15 times since 3/06. Just had a celiac plexus block a few weeks ago - it did not help at all. I am miserable most days. It requires such strenght just to get through each day. I feel like no one else around me REALLY understands.
Treatments
- Hydromorphone Working / Worked
- Works well for a few hours. If I have an acute flare, IV Dilaudid works the best for me.
