Space Cadetastic and a rant to end all rants. Mood
Thursday, July 24, 2008 | A Venting story

There are really two parts to this journal one is my update and the other is to vent about my horrid new neighbors. I have been feeling REALLY out of it, and last night and today are no exceptions. Barry came over last night, we watched Batman to get ready for The Dark Knight this weekend.  Went out to Chilis for dinner and I ate too much, and felt sick.  I slept for crap last night and this morning.  I had gone to Game Stop to return all the ps2 games the Joe used to play to get a game for myself, the one I really wanted was more then I could spend.  So I asked my little brother (well younger brother, hes 21 [in a week] 6'2 and 225lbs of muscle so not little) kind of jokingly "hey you make all this money now you should buy your poor little sick sister Sims Castaways for ps2"...he sent me a link to Amazon and said "expect this on Friday"!!! It made me cry, our relationship hasn't been all that great until recently and the fact that he didn't even think twice really meant a lot to me.  Therapy was nice today, it helped b.c my back has been so sore from coughing.  I am really spaced out the last few days and just feeling foggy.

Ok, now prepare yourselves for the rant!  Our new neighbors are fucking awful, they are most certainly    headed for Maury on are you my baby daddy.  The girl is maybe 21, she has 3 kids and one on the way all different daddies...one of which is named Tito...Tito has no teeth, I am sure he is on meth b.c after living in Nevada I know a meth addict when I see one.  Some other guy lives there too, although she denies it.  The STOLE our garbage can b.c the garbage guys won't pick up trash thats not in cans...we have extra I wouldn't of minded if they asked.  There is still bag and bags of trash all over the front b/c of them.  We have to ask at least once a day for them to turn their music down.  They NEVER watch the kids....there is a canal out back, it's an 8 foot drop onto concrete and shells and water...the kids are no older then 5!  They were running around the back at 10pm last night in the dark.  They never have clothes or shoes on, their diapers are always full of shit.  Should we call CPS? I am very worried that these kids are gonna get hurt.  They have ripped the screens out of the screened in porch next door as well as out of the door....the little rugrats climb through the screen rather then opening the door....they dig holes in the grass.  Oh and the baby mama (impregnated again) is aways out front smoking and yelling at Tito about calling some hoe.  Fucking hell!!!! I hate our landlord for allowing these people to live there.  We have nothing but Jerry Springer style screaming matches, dirty, unsupervised kids, and piles of stinking diaper packed trash,..which they had at one point put under OUR window!!! But seriously should we call CPS?

Your brother is totally AWESOME...I love him for what he did for you!
As for your new neigbors...Call the cops. Report everythign. Even if the cops don't go out there they will have it on record and if the people live on the otherside of them call then that should be enough to get the cops out... And if you have to keep calling over and over and over...until you get somthing done!!!!
I wish I could be there with you when the cops come. I hate people like that...we had neighbors like that for awhile...but kept turning them into the apartment office...they lost their lease contract and were gone before we had to renew our lease contract...YEAH!!

I hope you get to feeling better

I did call CPS, I would feel so guilty if something happened to those kids and I did nothing but complain. They noted it and said it was a big deal and a good thing that I called. They will look into it and make a visit, my name will be kept confidential. I feel better now, but am still terrified I am going to have to get in the canal and save one of those little kids.

You are being a very good neighbor by calling CPS. I hope they actually do something. It sometimes seems to me that CPS only wants to take the kids of middle class parents who give their kid a swat in Walmart and leave the obvious cases of neglect. Just an observation. I hope they do something this time though. Don't wanna see you interviewed on CNN when something really bad happens and baby momma is interviewed crying and asking why "Jesus had to take her babies". Glad you seem to be feeling a bit better at any rate. Hugs to you....

You should totally call some child-advocate authorities about that, not good at all hun. As for the, let's call them the "Termineighbors", you should think about contacting the police the very first time you see any illegal activity there, mostly for the kids, but also for piece of mind. I know you will do the right thing Jess. God Bless you sweety and I hope and pray that you start to feel better soon.

I think it was smart for you to call. You have done all you can - I had neighbours from hell and complained to the landlord, and even though they were kicked out, I have to wonder what happened at the next place they moved too. Good for you!!!

Good for you for calling CPS. Someone needs to look out for those babies. Big hugs, Aggie.

Is that alligator still in your canal? Good for you. Makes me sad to see people live this way. Every child deserves to be protected and cared for.
Very special of your "big" brother to do that, nice. XO

It was the right thing to call social services. It will probably an initial drama for the kids, but they really need to be removed from their loser mother. Just reading your journal makes me afraid and feel so sorry for the little rugrats.
Your brother is awesome. How nice of him to get you the game. So you got two good men in your life. What more can a girl want. Hope you feel better soon and get some sleep.

Good job for calling CPS. I'm glad you were brave enough to step in and call. Some people don't want to get involved, then when something awful happens, they're like "I should've done something". As for the man and woman, the definitely need a kick in the butt. Like a policeman showing up at their door would do them some good. So glad to hear that you and your brother are getting closer. (And glad he got you the game you wanted). I have a brother and he's great. But you, shouldn't you be resting, silly. You need to try to stay in bed so you can get better. You crack me up, eating at Chili's, while you're sick. You're a brave one. Love ya and get better soon. Helen

good grief,, hell yeah I would call em. how hard is it to get a couple of cheap trash cans anyhow or to change a damn diaper, never ceases to amaze me how many dumb asses have children.

Yeah. You did the right thing by calling. I know it's tough, but it could put those kids one step closer to safety -- maybe not for the best reasons, but at least if she thinks she's gonna get caught, she might keep them out of the canal.
I'm so glad my neighbors like this finally moved. Same thing ... hanging around outside, drug deals, diapers and condoms in the bushes, lots of different men. I never felt safe.

You DID do the right thing, I agree. People like you DO make a difference, if anything, to shed light on the situation and at least put the family and parent(s) on their radar.

Jess, by all means call CPS about the children and call the cops on the parents because they can oome when the children are outside at night and take them away from the mother and call the cops every time at night they are playing their music too loud...they won't want to live there anymore since clearly there is some drug stuff going on there. Let me know what you think of the new Batman...I am hoping to go see the X-Files Movie if I ever get over the Percoucet withdrawal which has been the worst I have ever been through.
