Easier said than done but, try not to worry so much about what your son is up to. Turn that energy into something productive for yourself and/or being prepared to support him when he asks for help in the future. Take Care!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the note! FYI, manic phase can be expressed with extreme irritability/anger.....it is very atypical behavior and we all know it! so it is a worry and we are hopeful he will go back on meds. Take Care!!!!!!!!!!!

Close Parenting Teenagers (12-18)
Parent of an 18 yr. old. boy! He doesn't want a "parent". How do you just stop. Especially when for most of teen years didn't want a parent. Influenced more by friends. Seems, now, like a product of society, than the son I used to have. I know when I look in his eyes looks like he's a lost soul...... Conflicted by tradional values vs. modern concepts. My only child, that I love dearly. I know 18 is considered an adult, yet there is so much to learn.
