Close Epilepsy & Seizures
I started having "dizzy spells" sometime in early college, which gradually worsened until I was finally diagnosed with a seizure disorder at 23. I saw several neurologists and was somewhat stable and coming off of my medication when I got pregnant last year, which made them a lot worse, and now I am on a high dose and they are still not controlled. We will be moving to Ohio next month and I hope to get treatment at an Epilepsy center in the Cincinnati area.
Treatments
- Keppra Working / Worked
- Taken for 3 years, worked except for nighttime seizures; was taking during my pregnancy with no ill effects.
- Klonopin Working / Worked
- Have been taking since diagnosis, always as a supplemental drug; have tried to discontinue use but haven't been able to.
- Lamictal Working / Worked
- Taking currently for past 7 months; was working perfectly with no breakouts until recently, now am on a high dose and still having seizures.
