Treatments

ABA Working / Worked

I think ABA is good, but it is kinda robotic.

Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked

Have avoided wheat and gluten for two years now my son Sean is allergic. He is a lot less irritable since we changed his diet

Behavior Management Working / Worked

We are using a behaviorist and have found him very helpful with question concerns and his direct help with my boys interaction.

Early Intervention Somewhat Helpful

EI was great for my 3 year old we started him at 1 year Not as good for my 5 year old he didn't start until he was 2 1/2 and we didn't know what we know now.

Floor-Time Therapy Working / Worked

We use floor time in conjunction with ABA I think they are both good.

Occupational Therapy Working / Worked

This is so important. Both boys have benefited so much.

Physical Exercise Working / Worked

Both boys swim almost everyday and this helps them so much and makes them tired and ready for bed.

Picture / Word Schedules Working / Worked

Used picture schedule for my 5 year old and this has helped him so much with transitions. He needs to know what is next. My younger son uses schedules too.

Close Hyperlexia

I have a 3 year old little boy PDD-NOS /Hyperlexia. Not sure about the PDD-NOS but sure about the Hyperlexia. He has been reading since 2 years.
