I have BiPolar and Hypothyroidism. I'm about to become a first time mom, my due date is September 23, 2007.
Interests
I'm not interested in much of anything right now. Usually I like going to concerts and shows, traveling, scrapbooking, hanging out with friends and family, and my cats.

Support Groups
Close Bipolar Disorder
Honestly my Dr. didn't tell me when he diagnosed me with BiPolar disorder. My therapist told me he "thought" I had it and then a couple of weeks later that was my diagnosis.
Treatments
- Cymbalta Not Working
- made me have serious mood swings
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Not Working
- is this the same as CBT? I didn't find it very helpful, but I understand what they're saying.
- Group Therapy Somewhat Helpful
- nice to know i'm not alone, but that's about all I got out of it.
- Lamictal Too Soon to Tell
- Weened off before the full dosage when I found out I was pregnant.
- Lexapro Not Working
- did not work
- Wellbutrin Not Working
- I was on the highest dosage of Wellbutrin XL for over a year and it did nothing.
Close Hypothyroidism
I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism in January of 2006. My levels are stable at the moment, but it seems every couple of months I need to be put on a higher dosage.
Treatments
- Synthroid Working / Worked
- I am on the generic brand of synthroid and it has gotten my levels back to "normal." So in that way it definately works...I still feel tired though and am not sure if it's due to my thyroid or other reasons.
Open Pregnancy
I am pregnant with my first child and am due September 23, 2007. I am terrified.
Open Physical & Emotional Abuse
I got out of a relationship with an emotionally abusive and physically aggressive guy in June 2007. The problem is that I am pregnant with his child and he still contacts me almost daily. I do not want him to pass on his ways to my child and am not sure what to do.
Treatments
- Leave Not Working
- I left him, but he still contacts me at least 3 times a week.
- Psychotherapy Somewhat Helpful
- My therapist helped me see how he was abusive, but he still won't leave me alone.
Open Lyme Disease
I had Lyme disease about 19 years ago. I know I lost some of my hearing due to it, not sure if it is the cause of other problems I have had. Curious to see if it is.
