Close Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionI have suffered with depression for many years. I use the word SUFFER, because that's what it is to me. I sleep ALOT, cause that's the only RELIEF I get from the suffering part. When I'm asleep, I'm not worrying about anything, I don't have to speak to anyone, and I don't have to act any certain way. I am emotionally exhausted!!!! Have I thought about suicide?? YES!!! I believe that the severe depression began when my Mom passed away in 1986. We were very close, she was truely my "best friend".

Close Bereavement
Type: Loss of a Partner/SpouseI have suffered several losses. My parents, a spouse and a pet. They were all different, but all very painful. My heart still aches!!

- It's a huge release to have a good cry.

- Grief counseling didn't work for me. It actually made me feel worse!!

- PRAYER DOES HELP!!!!
Open Menopause
The mood swings, the hot flashes, the night sweats, (the worst!!) I can't stand any of it!! I sweat in the Winter!!!
Open Diabetes Type 2
Diabetic of 6 years. HATE IT!! Don't like checking blood sugars, and not being able to eat what I want!!

- makes me feel sick, stomach hurts, drops blood sugars too low in the afternoon
Open Pet Bereavement
I had a cat named Pookey for 19 years, and had to make the decision to put him to sleep. That was THE worst day of my life!!! It's been 7 yrs. and I'm still not over it!
Open Interracial Relationships
I'm a white woman, married to a black man, and have lost members of my family, and some friends because of it. People who know me, and know that I was raised in a very prejudice household, ask me "what happened to you"?? I tell them "nothing", I'm not going to live my life with blinders on. We're ALL God's children!!
