About Me
I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness because it shows me the stars.~Og Mandino I am a Christian, belong to two motorycle associations. I have lots of energy, like to stay busy. I thank Doug & Daily Strength for adding the "Caregiver Community" for us on January 1, 2007. I share our home with my 83 year old, widowed mother, who is of sound mind, suffers from arthritis in her knees and back and is obese. I wish she would get knee surgery! She can hardly get bathed alone. I work full time.
Interests
I like to be on the go. I enjoy being organized. I love cats, horses, people, crafts, sending cards, volunteering, the beach, and especially praying.

Open Caregivers
I am the grateful matriarch that asked for the caregiver group Jan 1st 2007. Christian woman, living with 83 yr young mother. Counselor showed me how to stand up for myself. Mom and dad were in 2 auto accidents w/i 6 months. Neither were their fault. Driver ran red light-side swiped car on mom's side. Then another truck backed up didn't know mom/dad were behind them. Daddy passed 2/8/2004 age 89-had Alzheimers. I MISS my daddy very much! He was my rock.

My 82 yr mom lives with me. Possibly loosing her memory. Daddy passed away 3 yrs ago 2/8/04 of alzheimers. I guess I need to get her evaluated? She is starting to be very needy and mean. I say I'm tired from working my full time job and she says "you're always tired!". I don't want to loose it just because I'm her companion.

I've discovered the mom I am taking care of is a narcissist. My younger sister is little narcissist. I want to learn how I can start getting a backbone to deal with their bad behavior.
