ti day was ok... i went to the library and took out a book on depression so im going to see how it is
Progress is being made!! I found my second wind and decided to tackle the family room this evening after all! I actually made some significant progress, but called a halt to my efforts after about an hour and a half because of the pain in both knees and my lower back.
What I accomplished this evening is probably some of the harshest, most difficult work that had to be done in here: moving the couch, recliner, end table, CD rack, and bookcase to provide more "family living" space in the room. I asked kevin to help me with the couch - it's simply too heavy to be moved by one person. Even w/the 2 of us, it was no easy job...:) Misson accomplished, though.
The work I have left for tomorrow is sorting books and CDs - separating "keepers" from those to be sold on Amazon.com, or offered to the local used book store for store credit for our family, or as a last resort, donated to the local library for their annual "Friends of the Library" book sale. If I won't routinely refer to or reread a book, or if it's readily available from the library, then it must leave my personal library here at home. CDs must go if I haven't played them in the past 6-12 months.
Both my music and reading tastes have shifted somewhat in recent years. Apart from my old regular stand-by's, I have CDs that I bought at the time they were hot trends - one hit wonders but never really caught on. I'd like to accomplish all of this sorting tomorrow that needs to be done, thereby making my afternoon deadline for this goal. But I may not. And so, if I don't, I don't. I've come pretty darned close. And I can feel good about that achievement.
Right now, it's 9:45pm. I need to take a little time and unwind before heading to bed. I aso need to take some meds for my back and knees. Maybe Dr. H's office will call w/some of my referrals tomorrow. Hopefully everything will come together in a positive way, not only for myself but for every one of my DS friends.
