      I'm 51, highest weight was 353. Have lost 50. Lots more to lose & health is suffering: Arthritis in knees, achilles tendonitis, hi BP, A-fib, couldn't run if life depended on it. Take 8 RX pills a day & use CPAP machine for sleep apnea. HUNGER has nothing to do with me overeating & I HATE to exercise! I have spent Mega-Bucks over the years on programs & diets to only gain it & much more back. I have found WW to be the sensible program for me & I go to Curves. I find this site very supportive.

      Treatments

      Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
      Atkins, sucessful as long as I never look at another carb in my life. Like that's going to happen. It's good for a quick weight loss but it will come back on.
      Gastric Bypass Surgery Considering
      Been approved for Lapband but going to give myself one more year with WW and Curves. Really don't want to have to get the band - last resort.
      Physical Exercise Somewhat Helpful
      When I can walk it's OK. Can't move like I used to cuz of knee and achilles pain. Work out at Curves 3x a week. I hate to exercise.
      Weight Watchers Working / Worked
      A support group makes me accountable. Am on the Point system. I eat a lot of food & losing at a good rate. I record my foods. I recommend it because you can eat anything but in moderation. Deprivation doesn't work for me. But it's hard too. It's a journey and it's not all interstate.
    • Close Diets & Weight Maintenance

      Started the New Year's Resolution to lose over 100 pounds. Keeping away from white food (starch). Been up and down all my life and now at my highest. I hate to exercise and I love to eat. I know it's all about portion control and exercise so why don't I do it? Life is good otherwise.

      Need to lose weight due to health and well being, but can't seem to keep my mouth and the refrigerator shut.

      Been a long time since I was at meetings, but didn't really lose weight, but liked the support.
