Welcome to Daily Strength! Glad you are doing well. I am a fellow Factor V Leiden person. And I had a DVT (behind my knee). Were you on Yasmin?
I kept getting sick after every meal and was always so tired. I kept going to the doctor and he was sending me for CT Scans, MRI's (bc I also kept getting migraines atleast twice a week) and after all the tests I found out I have celiac disease in March '07. So now I'm adjusting to a gluten free life which can be very discouraging at times. But I am getting used to it finally...
Drove the entire east coast from Maine to Miami in a 2 week period... was on birth control pills and smoking cigarettes and had no idea my family had clotting problems. My 1st weekend in Miami was spent in the hospital in ICU bc I had a blood clot behind my knee in my right leg (my driving leg) since then i found out that my pretty much everyone on my father's side of the family has FACTOR V Liden. So we share coumadin stories over holiday dinners. lol...
I've been overweight most of my life... but I'm really want to fight back now. I'm just sick of being fat. I feel like it was a bad chapter in my life and I'm ready to move on... but I'm too damn lazy to move. I've tried Weight Watchers and made excuses. I've tried L.A. Weight Loss but did not feel comfortable with them at all and it was soooo expensive. I've tried joining gyms and eating right on my own, but I dont have the drive and discipline that I need to stay with it.
I've had horrible migraines all my life. and a few months ago I found out I have celiac disease and had to go on a Gluten Free Diet and I haven't had a migraine since. I never realized how many foods have Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) in them.
