I too have Hep C and a recovering addict of Alcohol & Drugs, and as I can't tell you anything about treatment as I can'e do it. You seem to be doing the right things. There are a lot of GREAT people going through the same thing. Just stay focused, and sounds like you are on the right path. The trick is to STAY on it. Best Wishes to you. -Dave

You are right hep has a stigma, I hope the best for your efforts. I would like to see methadone drug name dolophine be treated as a pain aid when taken as prescribed. instead as soon as people here methadone they automatically think youre a dope feind or as they put it a methadonian, like I'm from the planet metha. It just so happens it is prescribed for pain, it's inexpensive and unless you totally abuse it it doesn't get you high. I have so many things wrong with my back there is no surgery that would fix it. There is so much damage that it would take too long to list. Anyway good luck with your goal, and I would like to be your friend, I don't have many because I'm new. Thanks Pete aka aquasport246

Hi Everyone, my name is Krystie. Im 36 married with two children. I have Hep c. I found out ten years ago when I gave blood. I just recently started treatment not quite a month yet. Its ben an up and down road so far. The side effects are not quite as bad as I had heard. I do lab work on aug 22 to see if its working. Many prayers given and welcome here.
Treatments
- Pegylated Interferon Too Soon to Tell
- I use the ready pen. The shot itself does not hurt. I got sick on my first shot only im on forth now .I do get head aches and body aches and fatigued alot.
- Ribavarin Too Soon to Tell
- I noticed im very moody! It's like everything is on my nerves.
- Lexapro Working / Worked
- i think lexapro has done great for my depression
- Promethazine Working / Worked
- it helps with nausea
- Hydrocodone Working / Worked
- I am taking Loratab 10, and it helps alot with my body aches and head aches
- Clonazepam Working / Worked
- It was precribed for sleep but works better on my mood swing and anixey
- Vitamin B12 Working / Worked
- I feel taking b vitamins to be very helpful
- Writing Working / Worked
- I keep a written journal which helps alot
- Faith Working / Worked
- Faith and belief in God is my number 1 priority
- 12 Step Program Working / Worked
- I feel u can recieve alot of support from AA members.

- Prayer is POWERFUL!!
