I've spent the last couple of days planning my daughters baby shower. All her friends are on winter break, so even though she's not due til april, this month is the best time to have it. The hard part is trying to put it together with virtually no money. I think we can pull it off, but it's gonna be tricky. I really want it to be nice but I can only do so much. They're my first grandchildren so I wish I could do something really cool. I'm sure she understands. Still having trouble with eating...big time, but slowly edging my way to sanity 9key word being slowly).

Hey girl, well we have a lot of dollar stores or cheaper stores that have some of the CUTEST stuff for baby showers. You can also look online for SEVERAL ideas and ways to be creative on a budget. I did one for my siter and it turned out great. You can have just cake and punch or add some finger foods too. You can create your own invitations. I did. I printed them out offline and then punched a whole and tied a blue bow at the top, for boy, of course pink for girl, anyway they were cute. There are so many ways u can do it and save although I know it still takes a lot, just do it a step at a time. I just got the plates cups napkins at the dollar store- just the plain light blue, again they have pink for boy. Anyway, I am creative when it comes to putting together a party on a budget. If you need any help, let me know. Check out all the stuff online though by just doing a search on google. Plus there are so many games u can play, depending on if u choose to or not. Best Wishes and just do a little at a time. I bought some stuff ahead of time and waiting for things i could wait on but when I saw a cute sign or somethign I got it - u have time too. I wish I had kept some stuff I'd send it to ya. Papershack has some neat stuff and party city if u have either of those...some stuff is high but others not at all. U dont need as much as u think....u can get balloons and ribbon cheap and decorate with. Ok...again let me know if u need any other ideas. Ebay and Amazon is a good place to look too! christal

It sounds like you will have a great time planning the baby shower. How exciting it is for you to have your first grandchildren. It's a great feeling being a grandmother. Lots of hugs......

Hey hon, there is no doubt in my mind that you will be able to pull this off and it will be wonderful!!! I couldn't put it any better than christal with the ideas except maybe to add that you might could ask for small donations from her friends to help with the expenses, or put each of them in charge of buying something (ex. one person bring plates and napkins, another bring balloons, etc...)
