I know what you feel. I have been there. It has taken a long time to start to heal. He does not control your healing. Don't look for him to give you love and respect unless he wants to change the way your relationship works. Start working to be emotionally free of him. I've been there, it's a painful journey, but you need to take care of you. We are all here for you.
