Type: Loss of a FriendMy best friend of 28 yrs took his own life in Aug, 2006. He was one of the most important people in my life and the person that knew me best. I know my life will never be the same without him in it.
Treatments
- Crying Somewhat Helpful
- Can't stop it.
- Grief Counseling Working / Worked
- I've only had a few sessions but good to be reassured that my feelings are normal and good to talk without being judged.
- Trazodone Working / Worked
- Definately helps with the sleep but rarely remember dreams.
Close Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome 7 years ago.
Open Families & Friends Affected By Suicide
I lost my best friend to suicide August, 2006. I feel like a part of me has gone with him.
Treatments
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- I would highly recommend it. Helped me to understand my feelings and to know that my reactions were natural considering the circumstances.
- Talking Working / Worked
- Don't know exactly how it helps but it does.
- Writing Working / Worked
- I have a private diary which helps me to vent and I can actually go back and see where I have made progress.
- Trazodone Working / Worked
- Helps to get a good nights sleep. Heavy going at first but you adjust within a few weeks.
