I haven't written in a while....so I thought I would give an update. My TSH went up to 7.5, and they decreased my PTU to 100mg/day. With the dose change, a month later it was still around 7, and I am feeling bad again. Not really hypo or hyper....just bad. I go to see my endocrinologist on Monday, and I hope he has something helpful to say besides "RAI". I don't want to hear that again. I've started seeing an integrative medicine physician, and I really like her. The nutritional changes, exercise and changes in my job have all helped my stress level. So, some good and some not so good news. As for my RTA, I haven't had any more renal problems since I've been on the potassium citrate. With the reading I've been doing about both diseases, I believe the RTA could have been the cause of my thyroid disease. But neither specialist will go there in discussing that idea with me. That is why I chose to go to an integrative physician....so they would look at me as a whole person and not one organ or disease process. Any ways, that is where I am in my journey, and I hope all of you are doing well in yours!! xoxo

Hang in there everything will get better
